Communication/Availability

Ask about their office hours, after-hours availability, the speed at which they’ll return phone calls and what other communication tools they use (email, texting, etc.)
Skills
While skills and experience go together, the skills they use every day can be important to know. For example, you can ask how they price their rentals, what vendors they use (and then do research on them), what software they use to keep records, what records they keep and how they work to turn a profit for you and themselves.
Difficult Tenants
No one wants to think that their residents will be hard to handle, obnoxious or rude, but it happens. Ask them how they will deal with disruptive people, what tactics they’ve used in the past and ask for examples. You can also ask about past eviction percentages, how the process of eviction works in your area and whether or not they have legal counsel.
