Is the building safe in regard to entry and how easy it is to get into for non-residents? Look for buildings that require an electronic keycard to enter both the building and you’re building. This prevents people who do not live in the building from gaining access.
Check Out the Neighborhood
Remember to check out the neighborhood before signing any lease. How far is it from the actual campus? Are there decent food stores nearby? If the campus is within walking distance, will you be walking there? If so, are the streets lit in a way that makes you feel safe? What types of offerings are close to the neighborhood? These are all equations that you need to ask before moving in.
Parking Options
While parking is always included with the actual apartment building, the better apartments near OSU campus designed specifically for students also offer an option to purchase parking passes for the campus. If you have a car, this is an excellent option to take because trying to find parking on your own can be quite difficult on a college campus.
